It’s been just over six months since we launched the Tempo for Slack collaboration platform for our Tempo Cloud customers. First of all, we want to say thank you for all the positive feedback we’ve received over the past few months.
We’ve analyzed all of the feedback we’ve gotten from customers and we’re extremely proud to introduce a brand, new feature to Tempo for Slack. In addition to being able to log your work via Tempo for Slack we’ve added new capabilities allowing you to submit and approve timesheets. Now you can take care of your timesheet approvals without leaving your collaboration space.

Tempo for Slack helps you keep on top of your timesheet
It’s never been easier to submit your timesheets. Now with Tempo for Slack you can submit your timesheet for approval without having to leave your chat op tool.
To submit your timesheet via the Slack app, all you have to do is start by interacting with Tempo bot and then click on the “Get timesheet” button.
This will generate your Timesheet for the current period and how many hours you’ve logged versus how many hours are required for the period. You’ll also be able to see the current status of your timesheet, that is whether it’s open, ready to be submitted, waiting for approval or already approved.
Navigate between previous and current periods as needed. To submit your timesheet you simply click “Submit” and select your timesheet reviewer from a drop-down list, and voilá! You’ve submitted your timesheet for approval. It’s as easy as that.
