Tempo Timesheets Tip of the Month: The Tempo Mobile App in Action

For the last Tempo Timesheets tip of month for 2015, we’re going to cover a feature in our new Tempo mobile app.

Tempo mobile is the single best tool that enables team members to easily manage, plan, and track time from wherever they are, making time tracking and reporting easier than ever. Tempo’s mobile app is Tempo Timesheets with an added twist. It integrates seamlessly with Tempo Timesheets (7.13 or later) for JIRA Cloud and JIRA Server, and can be downloaded for free for Android and iOS.

One of the features of the Tempo mobile app is the Google Calendar integration, where all Google Calendar events show up in the Calendar view and be converted to JIRA worklogs, by linking the calendar event to a JIRA issue.

There's an alternative to convert calendar events, especially convenient for recurring events or meetings such as daily stand-ups and weekly staff meetings.

Here is an example where a company has created an internal task for staff meetings, INT-3:

Tip of the month 1

When creating a meeting or event in Google Calendar, where team members should be logging the time spent against a specific issue, in this case INT-3, include the issue key in square brackets at the end of the event title.

Tip of the month 2This enables attendees to quickly convert their Google Calendar events to JIRA worklogs, by clicking the convert to worklog button and clicking 'Done'. See how to convert Google Calendar events to worklogs in the video below.
