Deeper Resource Planning, Project Management, and Analytics for JIRA
Recently, we started rolling out milestones of our Tempo Planner to early access participants who registered for the waiting list on our website. We wanted to gain feedback from them on what they liked and didn’t like about our new product, and we wanted to gauge how the product development should further progress. Thanks to their input, we’re finally gearing up to launch this new product on the Atlassian Marketplace.
Starting today, Tempo Planner is now available for public beta for internal demo purposes only (not for production environments), so you can evaluate Tempo Planner and give us your feedback. You can access the new beta version, view our Tempo Planner documentation, and even download a demo database of Tempo data to assist with your evaluation from here.
Here are some reasons why you should try Tempo Planner:
1. You’re using Tempo Timesheets
Our new Tempo Teams and Accounts functionality, originally introduced to Tempo Timesheets, will tie our portfolio of products together. The more Tempo add-ons you use, the more value added to their functionality and the types of information they offer your teams. While Tempo Timesheets offers resource planning capabilities for JIRA issues and activities, Tempo Planner allows for greater flexibility for your day-to-day planning and project management needs, sharing information with Tempo Timesheets so your teams can focus on their tasks at hand.
2. You need both high-level & granular resource planning
Organizations have a variety of planning needs. Some need to plan at a high level, others need more granularly, and many need both. Tempo Planner is designed for use at all levels of your business, from senior managers, who need to perform project, portfolio, and account planning, to project managers and team leads, who need to plan for projects, teams, and even agile boards. This product has been built with major flexibility and ease in mind. Creating, modifying, and completing plans is simple with easy drag-and-drop features and other direct on-screen interactions.
3. Effective communication is important to you
There’s little worse than ineffective communication that prevents everyone from being on the same page. Inefficiencies attributable to communication breakdowns are a major source of waste—both time and money. Tempo Planner makes it easy to communicate plans to other groups within your organization, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and working with the same set of data no matter where they’re located. You can throw your slide presentations away.
4. You’re using JIRA Agile
JIRA Agile is a flexible project management tool for Agile teams that adapts as teams and plans evolve. Tempo Planner builds off of JIRA Agile by adding deeper resource planning capabilities based on your agile boards. Turn your backlog into a flexible schedule, and map your teams and people to your plans.
5. You really like data
What’s more important than strong analytical data for strategic decision making? With Tempo Planner, visual graphics and reports display organizational data in real-time, enabling managers to uncover trends and identify issues before they escalate, plan for the future from insights into project trends and history, identify projects that do not align with strategic objectives or are over-budget or under-performing, and then make the necessary course corrections.
