You may have noticed that Tempo is now available on Atlassian’s Marketplace. We’re thrilled to be a part of it, and also to be among the most popular add-ons currently listed there.
What is the Atlassian Marketplace?
Atlassian is providing the Marketplace to connect customers with add-on developers in a unified purchasing experience. If your license has been migrated to the Marketplace, you can now evaluate, manage, purchase, upgrade, and renew your Tempo license, along with other JIRA add-ons, directly through your Atlassian account at my.atlassian.com. A new Marketplace license has been generated for you, which you can find if you log into your Atlassian account. If you’ve been using an older version of Tempo, you may need to upgrade to a newer version. You’ll receive a reminder email from Atlassian before your trial or your one-year Tempo license is set to expire. Then, you can purchase, upgrade, or renew your license, along with any other related JIRA licenses, directly through Atlassian. It’s as simple as that!
Migrating Tempo licenses to the Marketplace
While we aim to make this transition as seamless as possible, there are a couple of issues that we want to bring to the attention of our users regarding the Marketplace. Most users with JIRA download licenses have had their Tempo license migrated over to the Atlassian Marketplace, and can now manage their Tempo licenses directly through their my.atlassian.com account. (If your license has been migrated, then you should have already received an email notifying you of this change.) However, there are a couple of exceptions.
First, while Atlassian is working diligently to get countries on board with the Marketplace, not all countries are currently supported there. If you’re located in a country not listed below, then you will need to evaluate, purchase, renew, or upgrade your Tempo license for JIRA download directly through us or one of our established local resellers for now. We’ll let you know once your country is supported by the Marketplace and your license is migrated there.
Likewise, if you’re using Tempo OnDemand or are interested in giving it a try, then you will need to sign up for an evaluationor purchase, renew, or upgrade your subscription through us. We’re working with Atlassian to make Tempo OnDemand available on the Marketplace in the near future.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions about the Marketplace generally or about license migration, please take a look at our new Marketplace FAQ page and our Licensing and Pricing FAQ page. Atlassian has some FAQs regarding Marketplace as well. If you have a question that you cannot find the answer for, as always, feel free to contact us.
We’re really excited about Marketplace and are grateful for your patience while we streamline the trial, purchase, renewal, and upgrade process and make it even better.
