April 28th was the International Girls in ICT Day and Tempo celebrated this worldwide event for the second time by inviting 25 eager teenage school girls to our headquarters in Reykjavík, Iceland to experience a day in the life of tech. The Girls in ICT initiative is a global effort to raise awareness on empowering and encouraging girls and young women to consider studies and careers in the ICT industry.

The association, RU /sys/tur, was founded in 2013 by a few female Computer Science students at RU and is extremely important to the students as it both strengthens them and increases their confidence on the technical side.
