2014 has been yet another terrific year for us here at Tempo. We have seen a number of major milestones this year, the key ones being the successful launch of our Tempo Planner add-on for JIRA this February, the number of Tempo employees almost doubling to 50 employees, and the acquisition of Folio for JIRA, a successful add-on vendor within the Atlassian ecosystem. So it is fair to say that this has been a very busy year for us here at Tempo.
As the new year closes in we took the time to jot down what we’ve been grateful for this year. Here are five things which we’re really grateful for in 2014:
5. Great reception of Tempo Planner
We were unbelievably pleased when we launched our very own Tempo Planner in early February of this year. Despite it‘s recent debut, we’ve enjoyed a lot of success with the product, the highlight being awarded the Top Grossing New Atlassian Marketplace add-on for the (FY ‘14) at this years Atlassian Summit.
However, we’re not letting these awards go to our head and we plan on improving our Tempo Planner add-on for JIRA more in the upcoming months. We’re humbled and grateful for the reception from our customers, but remember that the best is yet to come from the Tempo Planner team. Stay tuned to our blog for the latest updates on releases and news on Tempo Planner.
4. Giving back
For four years now we’ve been supporting the Room to Read foundation through our $10 Starter Licenses. Room to Read is a global organization dedicated to promoting and enabling education through programs focused on literacy and gender equality in education. Their core belief is that all children, regardless of gender or background, have a right to education. They achieve this goal by establishing school libraries, building schools, publishing local-language children’s books, training teacher on literacy education, and supporting girls to complete secondary school with life skill necessary to succeed in school and beyond.
This year our donation was by far our biggest yet and we want give special thanks to all of our users were able to donate over $22,000 directly to the cause. We are happy to contribute to this worthy cause and believe that Room to Read is a fantastic program!
3. The tireless contribution of our Tempo Partners
Our Tempo Partners are Atlassian Experts who resell our Tempo products and many of them also offer consulting and training as well. They play a big part in our success as they help us expand our services to Tempo users worldwide and account for share of our total sales.
The Tempo Partner network has been growing consistently this year and we’ve now partnered up with more than 80 global Atlassian Experts to deliver Tempo’s suite of add-ons to organizations the world over.
The highlight in regards to our partners was our first ever Tempo Partner Day hosted this September right before the Atlassian Summit in San Jose.
The cooperation with our partners has been fruitful and enjoyable and we would like to thank our Tempo Partners for an excellent cooperation and hope that our partnership will continue to be successful in the coming years!
2. Growing Tempo family!
For the past couple of years we’ve been growing vastly in numbers and the Tempo team is now totaling 50 team members of different backgrounds and experiences. This fast growth has brought on many challenges within our teams, but we’ve been able to focus our efforts on addressing solutions that have helped our Tempo customers.
Today we’re proud to say that our staff is developing a total of four JIRA add-ons. We are confident that we’ll grow in the future and hope to keep the same great team spirit that we’ve been blessed with here at our Tempo quarters.
1. Tempo and Folio for JIRA joining forces
Just this December we announced that there was a new Tempo product joining our portfolio and that product is FOLIO for JIRA. FOLIO is an add-on for JIRA that allows you to budget and track projects, portfolios, and programs with Earned Value Management (EVM). With FOLIO, managers can forecast costs, revenues, and profitability directly in JIRA. By integrating FOLIO into the Tempo family, we will be able to offer our customers a greater variety of options and increase the value they get out of using Tempo’s products.
We want to welcome the new FOLIO team members to our Tempo family and we have no doubt that we’ll enjoy a prosperous relationship together for many years!
