I work as a Product Manager and Business Analyst for Redfox Media. The company has six employees and is located in Sydney, Australia. Redfox Media is a team of clever creatives (web designers), techno geeks (web developers) and obsessive compulsive project managers who all share one thing in common – a passion for crafting stunningly gorgeous and powerfully robust websites that allow our clients to excel in the online space.

On the front-end, we hand-craft bespoke web experiences that let the personality of the brand shine through and are responsive to desktop, mobile and tablet devices. On the back-end we engineer powerful web applications that streamline marketing and improve efficiency.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER TEMPO TIMESHEETS?

We discovered Tempo Timesheets through the Atlassian Marketplace.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN USING TEMPO TIMESHEETS?

We have been using Tempo Timesheets for almost 12 months now.

WERE YOU PREVIOUSLY USING ANY OTHER TOOLS FOR TIME TRACKING, RESOURCE PLANNING, AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT? IF SO, WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO MAKE THE SWITCH TO TEMPO?

We had tried various systems before discovering JIRA. Tempo Timesheets was the obvious choice for our OnDemand install.

CAN YOU DESCRIBE HOW YOUR ORGANIZATION USES TEMPO TIMESHEETS? WHAT PROBLEM(S) DOES IT SOLVE FOR YOU?

Tempo Timesheets allows us to keep track of the time our teams spend on each project/issue. It provides high level time estimates across our projects and product development.

WHAT MAIN PURPOSE(S) WOULD YOU SAY TEMPO SERVES FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION?

At the moment we just use the time tracking to keep a record of the billable/non billable hours our team members are recording each week, we use this information to check against any invoices our contractors submit, plus we use this to measure or actual time on a project against our estimated time.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC FEATURES THAT YOUR TEAM FREQUENTLY USES?

We use the real-time time tracker, as well as weekly/monthly approval of timesheets. We also export timesheets to CSV.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST CHANGE IN YOUR ORGANIZATION SINCE YOU’VE STARTED USING TEMPO TIMESHEETS?

Better visibility on how our time is spent.

HOW WOULD YOU SAY YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE FEELING ABOUT USING TEMPO TIMESHEETS?

Our team has been really receptive to Tempo Timesheets, the fact that they can track their hours using the tracker, or log their time directly onto their issues as they are working on them means its really easy for them. Because its easy, there hasn’t been any resistance to it.

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL ANOTHER COMPANY ASKING ABOUT TEMPO TIMESHEETS?

If they were using JIRA, then Tempo Timesheets is the only way to go.
